Dr Sim: IPeople application to be extended to all local councils
Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the IPeople application will be extended to all local councils in Sarawak so that members of the public can have easier access to make complaints, make payment of assessment rate and other services.
He said the present ‘talian khidmat’ service was too slow causing a lot of unhappiness among the public who at times said there was no respond received at all.
Dr. Sim was officiating the Padawan Municipal Council (PMC) 22nd anniversary celebration at its premises in Kota Padwan yesterday and expressed his hope to extend the use of IPeople application to ensure all reasonable complaints are entertained.
According to him, most of the complaints are related to council issues and local councils must realised that the people who are their customers are their priority.
He urged them also to fulfill the expectations of the public.
