Kho Teck Wan: Barisan Nasional P195 Bandar Kuching candidate

Barisan Nasional P195 Bandar Kuching candidate Kho Teck Wan yesterday announced her manifesto. She is fully committed for the election and fight to convince the voters for the chance to create a stronger Bandar Kuching, for stronger Sarawak, to safeguard Sarawak’s interest.

Kho expressed that ever since she was appointed as a MBKS Councilor in 2016, she has been proactively going around in Kuching South areas to understand the issues that the public are facing in their everyday life. She shows no sign of slowing down in terms of servicing the public problems because she felt that the people are in urgent need of development. With this platform and experience to help the people on the ground, the residents have the opportunity to be touched by her effort.

For the past 14 years, Bandar Kuching had missed out billions of development funds due to the failure of DAP’s representatives. The opposition also failed to fulfill their previous election promises. Due to this lack of funds, Bandar Kuching suffered from floods every year and businesses suffered losses.

At the same time, Bandar Kuching is losing its image as a vibrant city resulting in a lack of job opportunities, thus worsening the brain drain effect in Sarawak. Sarawak’s digital economy dream needs productive youths to push and we cannot be a bystander and just watch as the world eats the cake of the digital economy while Sarawak falls behind.

She said that for the past 14 years, Bandar Kuching is not represented in the government. The other constituencies that are in the government are booming with development and massive infrastructure upgrading. How can we just stand aside “tengok sahaja” like the DAP’s representatives when other cities and towns are enjoying development in their areas?

If Bandar Kuching residents give her a chance, she pledged to work to her very best to get more development for Bandar Kuching.

The following is Kho Teck Wan’s manifesto and she promised to work to the best of her ability to bring in more development and better living standard for Bandar Kuching people.

vi. Providing up financial assistance for religion and culture activities

vii. Setting up more subsidised childcare centre

viii. Setting up more Afterschool Program Centre

ix. Mobile healthcare services

x. Forming Sarawak Women Aspiration Taskforce (SWAT)
