Milton’s pledge to people in Pending
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party candidate for Pending, Milton Foo made several pledges to help the Pending people if voted in.
Milton who is giving his plans in stages touched on safe community and Medical and welfare.
He said for safe community, he wanted to put up an intelligent city management by using CCTV in Pending to monitor the safety aspect.
Not only can crime be monitored but the council can see too if garbage were left too long uncollected and the traffic congestion be seen when monitored by traffic.
Milton said he will also formed groups in social media to monitor on crime prevention which should included community leaders and relevant authorities.
On the open burning, Milton said there is a law under Section 30 of the Natural Resources and Environment Ordinance where offender if convicted can be fined RM30000 or jailed for three years.
“Unfortunately, our enforcement is too weak,” he said.
Milton said prevention is better than cure and there is a crying need for an enforcement on natural disasters like flooding.
On the Medical welfare, Milton hoped to see a cancer specialist set up in Kuching as Sarawak General hospital is full to the brim.
He also said he would fight for allowance for the senior citizens and given bonus vouchers of milk powder for new born babies starting off with 100 families.
Other agenda he hoped to carry out were affordable housing, dynamic business centre, basic infrastructure and quality education.
