Working visit at Mile 7 market
President of SUPP, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian paid a working visit at the Mile 7 market with Cr. Wilfred Yap recently. There was upgrading work to be done there and Dr. Sim went on a spot check. He later held a dialogue session with the business sectors on various issues concerning bandar Sentosa.
程明智：诗巫南兰出战权应归人联党
砂人联党青年团总团长程明智强调，人联青全力支持党中央派出的第14届全国大选候选人。 他说，在上个月举行的中央党代，惟一的提案是拒绝国阵直属候选人方案。因此，人联青认为诗巫和南兰国会议席的出战权应该属于人联党，因为人联党是国阵成员党。 他表示，首相兼全国国阵主席拿督斯里纳吉在今年1月3日主持全国国阵最高理事会会议时，一再强调所有议席的出战权是属于国阵成员党，由国阵成员党分配出战权。 程明智是日前在诗巫主持人联青执委会会议时，这么指出。 也是首长政治秘书的程明智说，人联青希望党中央考量派出年轻候选人出战国选，而人联青不乏人才，可以成为候选人。同时，人联青亦准备好与其他国阵成员党密切合作，确保国阵的胜利。

沈桂贤突击七哩小贩中心
砂拉越地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤日前突击七哩小贩中心，检查和听取小贩对提升工程后的各种意见。 他与小贩交流和听取他们的反映后认为，小贩中心的提升工程存在一些瑕疵。 “需要改进的项目包括小贩中心摊位的排水系统、物品摆放柜台和积水现象” 他认为，这些问题的出现，显示小贩中心负责人在管理方面欠佳，因为这些问题不应该在他走入基层时，才被民众提出来。 “我会指示市议会关注和改进，同时也要求工程承包商对瑕疵项目进行维修。” 巴达旺市议员叶耀星及七哩商联会多位理事也陪同沈桂贤进行巡视。 沈桂贤表示，小贩中心管理负责人应该要有更好的管理系统，确保小贩们面对的问题能及时反映，提出和解决，而不是在他走入基层时才提出。 此外，关于小贩中心小贩投诉附近非法小贩影响他们生意额问题，沈桂贤表示，长期计划是要找适合地方来安顿这些非法小贩，但短期内市议会要拟定策略和条例，以寻求双赢方案。
