Lo checking on maintenance work under his responsibility

Members urged to have confidence in party’s leadership

St Joseph’s Class of ’79 collection for century-old Mill Hill Block
The St Joseph’s school class of 79 showed their generosity when they responded to an appeal for assistance to the 135 years old school which has been in poor condition where some blocks need to be maintained. 沈桂贤希望更多砂拉越代表受委上议员
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤希望更多来自砂拉越的代表受委国会上议员。 他表示，目前在70名国会上议员当中，只有区区3人是来自砂拉越，这比例非常小。 他称，作为上议员，他可以为全国的社团颁发拨款，但是，他只会向砂拉越的社团这么做，毕竟砂拉越只有3名上议员。若是其他州属的社团向他要求拨款，那么他会建议他们向本身所属的选区申请。 沈桂贤在人联党总部主持拨款移交仪式时说，他希望会有更多来自砂拉越的代表受委上议员，帮助到本地社团。 他表示，他目前拥有3个拨款来源，分别是上议员、州议员和部长。 他强调，其州议员的拨款只会用在石角选区，而部长拨款则可以分发给所有地区的社团。 他说，倘若他没有在去年州选胜出，那么他就不会有这些拨款来源，人民无法受惠。
党员必须对党领导有信心
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤强调，党员必须对现任的领导层具有信心。 他说，人联党已经创党58年，迄今仍积极为民服务，为砂拉越人的权益作出争取。 也是砂地方政府及房屋部长的沈桂贤在诗巫举行的人联党党庆晚宴上致词时表示，在去年的州选中，人联党在竞选12席当中，赢取其中7席。 他希望，人民会给予人联党百分百的支持，在来届国选让人联党获得辉煌成绩。 他强调，人联党会在国选中，派出最好的候选人出战。 与此同时，他表示，人联党目前拥有的11万1000名党员当中，土著党员占了三分之二，因此，人联党是多元种族政党。 出席党庆晚宴者包括中央秘书长兼卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师、副主席拿督法兰西斯哈登、武吉阿涉支部主席钱本统及南甲支部主席蔡明成。
