Dr Sim encouraged UEC holders to work with state government
Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian urged holders of Unified Examination Certificiate (UEC) to consider seriously to serve in the State, who clarified that it had received only six to eight applications since the state government recognized it. 奥巴基层反对拉浓将议席带入土保党
奥巴州选区三个国阵成员党，即砂拉越人民联合党、砂拉越民进党和砂拉越人民党党员及支持者不支持该区国阵直属州议员拉浓连人带席加入土保党的做法。 奥巴选区三个国阵成员党支部的领袖从6月20日至24日展开一项收集民意的签名运动，有关活动共获得超过1千200名三个成员党的党员和支持者签署。 人联党奥巴支部主席安贝尔、民进党奥巴主席拉央纳龙和人民党奥巴代主席阿金拉比，也参与这次签名活动。有关签名活动所取得的民意情愿文件，今早已移交给人联党主席拿督沈桂贤。 基层民众表态，绝对不支持拉浓中选后将原本属于人联党的奥巴州议席带入土保党。 “拉浓可以加入土保党，这是他的自由和权利，但不能同时也把奥巴选区带走。”
沈桂贤：独中生不踊跃申请公务员
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤对于本地独中毕业生不踊跃申请州公务员，感到遗憾。 他说，自从砂政府开放让独中毕业生申请公务员以来，只接获6至8人提出申请。 沈桂贤是出席古晋中华第四中学校友会晚宴上致词时，这么表示。他呼吁华社积极看待此事，并希望更多独中毕业生可以踊跃申请成为州公务员。 另外，他指出，目前砂政府正在积极索回自主权，包括教育领域的自主权。一旦落实，砂政府将会邀请中国大学在本地设立分校。 他表示，这有助于培养本地人才。 目前，一些学生在国外留学后，并没有回来服务，导致人才外流。 因此，他希望随着本地设立中国大学分校之后，本地人才也可以留住。
砂人联党公共投诉局文告
砂人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获一宗投诉，有一对夫妇支付五万令吉予一名女郎，代为协助以向一家私人医院索取疏忽的赔偿金，然而女郎却没有开出收据。 这对蔡姓夫妇已支付5万令给这名女士，作为代表其妻子向一间私人医院处理疏忽索赔的费用。该女士向其妻子承诺可向该医院索取高达80万令吉的赔偿皆因院方的疏忽而做出错误的诊断。 叶耀星在聆听他们的问题后，发现种种迹象都非常可疑。其妻子所支付的任何费用皆无单据，且并非支付予律师事务所。 此外，律师也没有出示任何诉讼文件及发票。 为此，叶耀星日前陪同这对夫妇到古晋新邦迪卡警局的一站式服务中心报案，要求警方就此案件展开调查。 砂人联党公共投诉局提醒民众，在寻求任何法律服务必须向相关律师楼或律师索取收据。因为有关收据将会注明支付何种服务费用。他也提醒民众付款后应当向律师楼索取正式收据作为付款凭证。 人联党公共投诉局提醒如有面对相关问题之民众可向该局寻求协助。经查证属实，人联党将伸出援手尽力协助。公众可拨电联系人联党公共投诉局（016-7797688）或人联党总部（082-246999）或亲临人联党总部。
