Sharing the Gawai spirit in Kg Merikan
In view of the coming Gawai celebrations, State assemblyman for Piasau, Daro Sebastian Ting was invited to celebrate a Pre Gawai Celebration at Kampung Merikan 2 at Lutong. Ting said they had a Wonderful and Marvellous time and thanked them, particularly for their strong support, warm wishes and most importantly their Prayers. He wish them well and Selamat Gawai, Gayu Guru, Guru Nyamai. Lantang Senang.. Happy Gawai.
Gotong royong in Pulau Melayu.
Piasau state assemblyman Dato Sebastian Ting, together with a group of youths of Pulau Melayu, went for a Gotong Royong session to cut the grass and clean up the general area of the local futsal court. Dato Sebastian also said there is a request for Electricity supply and new paint for the futsal court.
Plan to amend Municipal Council (MPP) laws
The Ministry of Local Government Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian has proposed to amend the laws of Municipal Council (MPP) to enable it to employ traffic wardens in the future. Dr Som said the ministry is concerned about traffic congestion in the council’s area of jurisdiction, especially Batu Kawa. The amendment,he said would enable the council to put traffic wardens in congested areas to assist traffic police. 沈桂贤于巴达旺警区工作访问
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤希望，巴达旺市议会可以拥有属于自己的交通指挥员，以在繁忙时段指挥交通，舒缓塞车问题。 他指出，由于这涉及修改地方议会法令，他指示地方议会官员作出研究。 目前，巴达旺市议会辖区的石角地区等，都在繁忙时段面对塞车问题，驾驶人士苦不堪言。与古晋南北市政局不同的是，巴达旺市议会并没有指挥交通的权限。 因此，沈桂贤期望，通过修改相关条例，可以让巴达旺市议会可以派出人手指挥交通。 也是砂人联党主席的沈桂贤是于27日前往巴达旺警区警察总部进行工作访问时，这么表示。 根据民众向他反映，石角地区的塞车黑区是石角路、杨国斯路和三哩交通岛处。 巴达旺警区主任朱显国指出，基于警方面对人手不足问题，因此倘若巴达旺市议会可以协助指挥交通，那可以帮助到警方舒缓塞车问题。 随同沈桂贤到巴达旺警区警察总部进行工作访问者是巴都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强，及人联党石角支部主席陈如飞。
陈超耀参与青年活动
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员兼中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师于今早，与来自美里地区的青年们一起进行清洁运动。 这项活动的主要目的是清理5人制足球场的野草，让日后人们可以使用。 陈超耀会协助争取电流供应，及为该足球场进行重新粉刷。
出席达雅节庆典
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员兼中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师，连卑尔骚支部的执委于昨晚出席美里罗东甘榜马力甘（Kampung Merikan 2 ）的达雅节庆典，与当地达雅同胞一起提前欢庆节日。 他也在庆典上，感谢当地非常支持他的村民。 他祝贺所有达雅同胞达雅节快乐。
党总部达雅节庆典
砂人联党总部于27日晚上举行达雅节庆典，获得上千名党员与支持者参与，场面热闹。 党主席拿督沈桂贤、署理主席拿督斯里里察烈及秘书长拿督陈超耀律师等领袖皆这项庆典，与众人欢庆佳节。这项庆典的筹委会主席为彼得鲁宁。 沈桂贤与里察烈也各自发表致词，感激出席者参与庆典。
