针对砂州民主行动党主席张健仁通过报章发表有关其手机遭骇入的指责，砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员表示，不仅张氏本身，包括他个人和其余人联党候选人都遭遇同样的情况。 “今天，我们甚至接获具有恶意与挑衅意图的手机讯息，还伪装是来自人联党发出。我们强烈谴责这种恶劣的手段。” 无论如何，与行动党不同的是，人联党并没借此博取宣传，或捞取选民的同情票。 沈桂贤强调，一直以来，人联党候选人都专注在地方上课题，包括发展、就业机会及捍卫砂拉越权益。 另外，对于低劣的竞选手段，他表示，其竞选的石角区的选民，正面对诸如选举赌博、买票和黑帮势力的阻扰与影响，在选举剩下两天的情况下，他疾呼选民们谨慎使用手中一票，选择更好的未来，这才是无价的。 针对张健仁指人联党的副首长无法为华社争取权益，沈桂贤反驳称，这是毫无根据的。 他批评张氏一昧转移焦点的作为，无法为国家社会带来实质的建设，其批评的作风也对社会毫无益处。 他强调，在新首长阿德南沙登的积极改革，以及新人联党团队的服务精神下，未来5年有望成为砂拉越华社的黄金期。 因此，沈桂贤呼吁选民们给予他和团队一起机会，让他们在接下来5年可以好好表现。

针对网络媒体《砂拉越报告》今日报导有关一张日期2013年的银行支票，并指支票是首相拿督斯里纳吉发给砂拉越人民联合党的。此项报导正值第11届砂拉越选举竞选期期间发出，其用意显然是为了诋毁砂拉越人民联合党的形象，并影响国阵人联党候选人的选情。 而古晋党总部的科技技术小组正在设法鉴定有关支票图像的真伪之际，作为2012年至2014年任期的砂拉越人民联合党主席，我有责任制止此项对于党领导层的迫害。 支票图像上的日期极为含糊不清，但无论如何，我想在此强调，一切对于党的资金捐助，责任都是在于党主席身上。在2013年，我是当时的党主席。 我认为，《砂拉越报告》的这项报导，是为了对人联党的领导层制造负面形象，以引导选民转移关注现有课题的专注力，尤其是那些涉及砂拉越的本土课题。 我呼吁砂拉越的选民，尤其是国阵人联党候选人角逐选区的选民，不要被反对党的污蔑与指责动摇。尤其是在这项课题上，是另一项例子证明反对党与外界的联手攻击，在选举中制造舆论和课题。 我向选民保证，砂拉越人民联合党从没抵触任何我国的法律。
