人联妇女组成立“妇女与家庭法律小组”
砂拉越人民联合党中央妇女组成立“妇女与家庭法律小组”，以维护妇女与家庭的权益。 该党全力支持和履行砂首长阿迪南沙登的呼吁，着手处理对女性不利或在偏差的法令以便作出修改。 成立该小组的宗旨是通过法律途径保障妇女和家庭的合法权益。同时，通过制定、修正、废除及行政措施之改进，达到消除对妇女一切形式歧视法令，促进男女平等，以及针对具歧视性的妇女法令提出修改，如婚姻法令。 而妇女家庭法律小组属6人组成的律师团，包括蔡庆华、Jimmy Maja、符祥威、叶耀星、沈桂莲（同为顾问身份）及徐蔡斌。 砂人联党中央妇女组主席拿汀徐美丽今日在新闻发布会上表示，阿迪南于今年国际妇女节呼吁全砂妇女组及妇女发展部门，着重于处理女性福利或存在偏差的女性法令，无论是国家或州内的妇女法令。 在此，她希望该党在来届大选获得选民的支持，将该党的13席州议员送入州议会，以便为妇女争取权益。 另一方面，妇女家庭法律小组Jimmy Maja律师指出，类似案例就发生在陈秋和与印尼籍妻子伊丝娜的身上，他们所生下的女儿受限于联邦国民登记局的法令，如今未获得大马身份证。 于此，他提议，州政府对于相关法令应该进行研讨或修改，以便适合用在砂拉越人民的身上，亦是身为砂拉越人的权益。
沈桂贤演讲中途救援伤者
砂人联党主席兼石角区候选人拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨晚紧急离开其政治演讲集会，赶去救援车祸伤者，其热心举动获得民众赞扬。 他是于石角原创商业广场进行演讲，约晚上10时，附近发生车祸。 也是心脏专科医生的沈桂贤，马上赶往车祸现场，并施予援助。伤者是一名男性摩托骑士。 许多民众对于沈桂贤的善举，纷纷给予赞扬。
A doctor in need…
SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, despite his political work, showed his medical compassion as a doctor when he left his ceremah to go and check on an accident victim at Sg. Moang. A motorcyclist was hit by a car at about 10 pm along Jalan Sg. Moyan. When Dr. Sim heard that the victim was seriously injuried, he left his ceremah and went to the ambulance to assist the nurse.
