PM walkabout at Kg Hj Baki
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak approved the Kpg Hj Baki folks a village hall and a new school during his walkabout on Saturday night. The villagers waited for him at the village’s Masjid Darul Ehsan to welcome the Prime Minister and his entourage. Najib said he knows the needs of the villagers and that only BN can deliver and bring development. Floor Mania 2016 – International Streets Dancing Competition
President of SUPP Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian officiated the Floor Mania 2016 – International Streets Dancing Competition @ Plaza Merdeka Kuching. He said he was impressed by the passion of the young artist (street dancer) last year competition in Boulevard that had challenge d them to have a dream, not just local competition. Dr. Sim said he was glad that they did it by bringing international competitors to Kuching.
古晋国际街舞大赛开幕礼
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于12日为古晋国际街舞大赛“Floor Mania2016”主持开幕礼。 这项活动是于独立购物广场举行，由砂拉越人民联合党以及砂州青年发展局联合主办，并由本地著名舞团Feasible联手策划。 街舞活动的宗旨是为了推广本地良好的习舞文化，让本地舞蹈员除了进行舞艺上的切磋以及拥有更多的机会学习不同的舞蹈课程教学，并希望以此提升和吸引发掘年轻人对于舞的热忱，远离不良的嗜好，专注于街舞文化的发展。 沈桂贤表示对于年轻人热爱舞蹈的精神深感佩服，甚至还冲出古晋，让赛会成为国际性赛事。
首相造访甘榜哈芝巴基
首相拿督斯里纳吉于12日晚上造访甘榜哈芝巴基，并且宣布政府将协助当地居民兴建礼堂与学校。 在场者包括首相署部长南茜苏克里、副首长丹斯里阿弗烈查布及砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员。 纳吉认为，当地礼堂与学校都已经陈旧，因此有必要重建。 他也呼吁居民们在来临州选踊跃支持国阵，因为只有国阵可以带来发展，不像反对党，只是带来空头承诺。 “若甘榜哈芝巴基居民要获得更多发展，州选应该鼎力支持首长阿德南沙登。”
