砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于日前巡视古晋市镇第一政府中学校园,了解该校的设施状况。 随同者包括人联青宣教秘书符祥威律师。 据了解,该校于7,8年前遭遇火患,而在2011年由时任教育部长丹斯里慕尤丁拨款,进行重建。 重建完成后,该校没大事宣扬,而是默默继续教育工作,栽培学生。 沈桂贤认为,拥有45年历史的古晋市镇第一政府中学,需要获得一些拨款提升设施。而这也是为何砂拉越必须争取教育自主权,让州内更多学校得以持续发展。
