五小跑道动土仪式
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于今日为古晋中华小学第五校的跑道工程主持动土仪式 在场者包括古晋中华小学校董会主席王长福、副主席田招炎及五小校长何逸菁。 该跑道全长120米，日前沈桂贤也受邀主持古晋中华小学第三校的跑道工程动土仪式。
已故威廉丹尤举殡
已故砂人联党纪律委员会主席兼前文莪区州议员拿督威廉丹尤于今日举殡。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员率领领袖出席这项仪式，同时，两位前主席分别是拿督巴丁宜陈康南医生及丹斯里陈华贵，也出席送别威廉丹尤。

人联党建议国油保留25%就业机会给砂人民
鉴于石油与天然气对砂州经济和未来发展至关重要，砂拉越人民联合党今年初已成立石油和天然资源委员会，并拟定多项工作策略，极力作为州政府向中央施压，争取和维护砂州利益的重要动力。 人联党高兴看到州政府已在上个月内阁会议上，也成立石油与天然气委员会，人联党支持该委员会的成立，并会给予配合，确保由州政府所成立的委员会能扮演引领和主导作用，人联党的石油和天然资源委员会将从多方面与层次协助政府收集重要资料、建议和工作方针，共同朝向统一目标前进。 人联党非常关注和重视维护砂州权益事务，特别是石油与天然资源领域对砂州所扮演的重要角色，因此中央常务进行多次深入探讨，最终决定成立一个委员会，确保能特别关注和处理相关事务，中央宣教秘书俞小珊被推荐担任人联党石油与天然资源委员会主席，迄今该委员会已分别在5月26日及7月4日召开2次会议。 人联党石油与天然资源委员会在首次会议上，对砂州现有的石油与天然资源领域做出讨论，并制定工作方向与目标，包括积极保障砂州石油与天然资源、优化砂州石油与天然资源领域的人力资源、优化砂州石油与天然资源领域的就业机会、支持发展和培育本地石油与天然资源领域及参与国油公司承诺在砂州推行的22亿令吉的工程项目。 此外，人联党石油与天然资源委员会在7月4日召开的会议除了跟进之前会议的工作事项，也向政府提出多项建议，有关的建议已提呈给砂首长丹斯里阿德南。 这些建议包括希望首长署通过州内具有石油与天然气领域业者或相关业者的协助设立石油单位，以协助政府制定政策和策略，优化州内石油天然资源的人力资源及商业机会。 在人力资源发展层面上，人联党也建议国家石油公司应该保留其25%的就业机会给砂州人民，同时国家石油公司的董事部及其子公司都应该要有砂州代表。 为了提高砂州人民的技能与知识，以便能参与石油与天然气工业，人联党也建议国家石油公司与州政府设立一个职业与就业培训机构。 人联党认为，为了优化本地公司的商业机会，并对石油与天然气领域做出服务支持，本地企业应该优先获得石油与天然气业务发展机会，这可通过保留某些类别给砂州人民来落实。 人联党希望政府在设立砂州石油单位或相关机构时，能委任来自人联党的领袖进入该单位或机构，确保能从多方面和管道协助政府。 人联党石油与天然资源委员会承诺，将极力协助砂首长维护砂州石油与天然资源，特别是在争取石油开采税事宜上。

Former Bengoh state assemblyman Datuk William Tanyuh anak Nub left a deep impression on his comrades who spoke of his deep loyalty to the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP). 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于今日出席联邦妇女、家庭与社会发展部长拿督斯里罗哈尼阿都卡林的开斋节开放门户。 该活动的主宾是州元首敦丕显斯里泰益玛目与首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登。该部门邀请本地福利机构的成员出席，而主宾也颁发青包予出席者。
参与纪念722独立日集会
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师于昨日连同宣教秘书俞小珊等人，前往美里市议会参与纪念722砂独立日的和平集会。 这项集会的主要目的是唤醒人们关注722独立纪念日的醒觉，在1963年7月22日，砂拉越摆脱英殖民政府统治而独立。 集会从上午9时开始，而陈超耀恭贺主办当局，其团队及参与的公众保持高度纪律，维持和平与秩序。 陈超耀强调，砂拉越人是注重和平安宁的，并且在参组马来西亚之前就已经保持和谐精神，因此，在纪念722独立日集会上，也能在安宁的情况下举行。

砂拉越人民联合党史纳汀区州议员兼通讯与体育部助理部长拿督李景胜于昨日下午前往美里四川路火灾现场慰问灾黎，并代表福利局与红新月会移交救济品。 在四川路发生的大火烧燬双层屋，失家园的建筑工友与家人目前暂时居住承包商未完工的住宅。这宗昨日上午11时20分发生火灾的是一间半木质的双层屋子，疑是电线短路导致楼上着火，而烧燬整间屋子。

阿德南：砂不会脱离马来西亚
首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登表示，州政府认同“砂拉越人的砂拉越”运动展现出来的情操，但是，对于脱离马来西亚，则是完全不能认同。 他强调，无可否认的是，在马来西亚里，砂拉越已经取得一定的进步，虽然这些发展可能还无法达到预期。 他说，砂拉越仍有许多需要积极改进的地方。 此外，他强调州政府不会理会任何脱离马来西亚的诉求，包括以公投的方式脱离马来西亚。 无论如何，阿德南指州政府会通过要求权力下放的方式，争取更多权益。
